a New tactic emerges

This weeks search for sport related promotion strategies saw a new trend emerging for Facebook based marketing. I had found two different companies who deployed a similar tactic; instead of having a having a paragraph of writing and a small, attention grabbing photo, these Sponsored promotions were taking up more space than the page could hold, making the consumer forced into reading the page and not accidentally scrolling past. Both advertisements used the same strategy, which was keep the text minimal, make the photo large and attention grabbing, and not easy to scroll past. I found this tactic quite annoying as a consumer, as it was annoying to navigate past – However this technique is a good way of making sure your sponsored Facebook posts are actually seen by potential customers, because it is very easy to pay for a sponsored post have have it be scrolled past, and therefore waste a paid for view.
